Welcome to the month two roundup.
This month we had our first Thumbs Down title.
Union Jack: London Falling – Christos N. Gage
If this had been the only Union Jack title I read it may have escaped with a No Thumbs but following on from its predecessor it had such a high fall I had no choice.
We had two No Thumbs titles.
This is less than last month so a great improvement.
Crossed 3D – David Lapham
Singularity 7 – Ben Templesmith
We had twenty-five Thumbs Up titles. More than last month. This might be due to the fact we had several ongoing series and three great writers kicking arse.
Crossed – Garth Ennis
Crossed Volume 2: Family Values – David Lapham
Supreme Power: Contact – J. Michael Straczynski
Supreme Power: Powers & Principalities – J. Michael Straczynski
Supreme Power: High Command – J. Michael Straczynski
Doctor Spectrum (Supreme Power): Full Spectrum – Sara Barnes
Supreme Power: Hyperion – J. Michael Straczynski
Supreme Power: Nighthawk – Daniel Way
Squadron Supreme: Hyperion Vs Nighthawk – Daniel Way
Union Jack – Ben Raab & John Cassaday
Inferno – Mike Carey & Michael Gaydos
War of the Undead – Bryan Johnson
Big Numbers – Alan Moore
Chronicles of Wormwood – Garth Ennis
Chronicles of Wormwood: The Last Enemy – Garth Ennis
Chronicles of Wormwood: The Last Battle – Garth Ennis
Y: The Last Man – Volume 1 – Unmanned – Brian K. Vaughan
Y: The Last Man – Volume 2 – Cycles – Brian K. Vaughan
Y: The Last Man – Volume 3 – One Small Step – Brian K. Vaughan
Y: The Last Man – Volume 5 – Ring of Truth – Brian K. Vaughan
Y: The Last Man – Volume 6 – Girl on Girl – Brian K. Vaughan
Y: The Last Man – Volume 7 – Paper Dolls – Brian K. Vaughan
Y: The Last Man – Volume 8 – Kimono Dragons – Brian K. Vaughan
Y: The Last Man – Volume 9 – Motherland – Brian K. Vaughan
Y: The Last Man – Volume 10 – Whys and Wherefores – Brian K. Vaugha
Only two Double Thumbs Up titles, half the number of last month. But with so many solid titles the competition is much harder.
The Cleaners – Mark Wheaton
Y: The Last Man – Volume 4 – Safeword – Brian K. Vaughan
There is no book of the month as everything that got a Thumbs Up deserved it and any of those titles will not let you down. I think Crossed made the biggest impact. Anything with that brand I will buy and I am looking forward to the next volume by David Lapham as it has a great premise (like the last one that got screwed up) and the master himself Garth Ennis will also be returning to write a future story.
See you next month.
